I often come across content during my day to day that I want to listen to while I work.  Today, it was this and this.  First is the love of my musical life right now, Josh Ritter, and the story contains a track off his new album.  The second is a podcast from Nerdist that I have never listened to before, but Adam Savage (Mythbusters!) was involved so I wanted to give it a try.

My problem when I come across this content is that sometimes I simply forget that I am listening to something that is playing within a tab of my browser and since I am a chronic declutterer, several times a day I close many many tabs in my browser in an effort to clean up.  This ends in tears as I usually disconnect myself from something I am listening to and I am so disappointed in myself I rarely reopen and start over.  I was going to write a blog about how much I hate myself for this and how I wish you could lock a tab, but then I realized Chrome's "pin tab" function works for this purpose.  It reduces a page to it's favicon and I have to expand it in order to close it- which makes me think before I close and saves me from myself!  Nicely done, Chrome, nicely done.
