I was on a conference call at work moments ago when I heard a huge bang on the window. Normally, I would assume this was a football, but looking around I realized no one was goofing off. I looked outside and noticed a dead pigeon on the ground. This happens from time to time, but I have never been sitting at my desk when it did. It was really loud.
As everyone else in the office gathered around to stare at the bird and that is when I noticed bird brains on the window. Things went from sad to just gross, I remember saying "that is so gross" at least 25 times. Pictures are below, taken by members of the office bird CSI unit, but shielded by an adorable picture of a kitten and a puppy because they are disgusting and fascinating and not everyone is always up for that.
To make matters worse I was thinking about how gross and sad it was an sort of laughing to myself about the whole thing while staring at our dead bird friend in the parking lot. Just then a car came out of the parking garage headed right for it. Before I could mutter, "I think that car is going to run over the pigeon..." it happened while I watched wishing it wouldn't! That poor bird- window, brains on glass, getting smashed by car. I didn't post an after car smashing photo because it's too disturbing which I am sure is hard to believe after posting a picture of brains on the glass.
