Bear Lake. April 2nd. Not the same as July 2, but just as pretty.

Look at all the pretty pictures.  What can I tell you about it?  The water was blue and fantastic, baby Ruby went with us because she was recently born and had no other plans, some of my favorite people were there, we ate shakes (twice), there is a house that looks like a shoe, I like orange juice, the deer on the wall at the drive-in has fur in its ears and whiskers on its chin, I drove around the lake, we found a hidden reservoir and a pair of dirty underwear, it was fun.

I went to Bear Lake and I like it

I got home from Bear Lake a few hours ago after spending the weekend there with Mike, his family, and our friends Chris and Silvia who brought their dog Maya.  Mike's parents have the best set up ever with a place on the beach, with a couple of trailers that stay there year round, a boat, a floating dock, and all the sunshine you can handle.  I camped in the yard, but it sure was nice to have a trailer with running water close!

I thought it was going to be a bit on the chilly side given the spring we had in Utah and highs were forecasted to be in the mid-70's, but we were surprised by some 80+ degree temps yesterday.  I enjoy sitting, water, lounging, drinking beer, playing card games, sleeping outside, and adventures in general so I had a blast!  I's so happy Mike invited me and I behaved well enough that I am invited back anytime.

I would apologize for all the sunset pictures, but they were fantastic! There are also some pictures to help you compare the size of my little tent to Chris and Silvia's Taj Mahal, roasting Twinkies (not a good idea), and some other random happenings.  All around a fantastic time!
